Manjeshwar, October 25, 2025: On October 23, 2025, a man identified as Mr. Sukumar was found lying in a distressed and unhealthy condition near the Central Railway Station, Mangalore. Acting with compassion and humanity, the Snehalaya Rescue Team safely rescued him and brought him under their care.
During the rescue, it was observed that Mr. Sukumar had injuries and deformities on his fingers and toes. A medical examination conducted at the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, revealed that these deformities were the result of long-term damage, poor blood circulation, and tissue-bone deterioration. Mr. Sukumar is currently receiving medical treatment and rehabilitation services at the Snehalaya Centre.
Speaking on the rescue, Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder and Director of Snehalaya Charitable Trust (R), emphasized,
“To heal a disturbed mind, more than a deformed body, what is needed is only humanity.”

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 25, 2025: ದಿನಾಂಕ 23 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಸಮೀಪದ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡವು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದೆ.
ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಕೈ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲು ಬೆರಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಕೃತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸೈಕೋ–ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಈ ಗಾಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜಂಟಿ ವಿಕೃತಿಗಳು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಹಾನಿ, ರಕ್ತಪ್ರವಾಹದ ಕೊರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚರ್ಮ-ಎಲುಬಿನ ಹಾನಿಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದವು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಕುಮಾರ್ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
