Manjeshwar, October 23, 2025: In yet another heartwarming story of compassion and care, a 21-year-old woman, Mrs. Rameeza Khatun , diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, was joyfully reunited with her grandmother, Mrs. Amir Jhan, after being missing for nearly a year.
Rameeza was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Women, Manjeshwar, Kasaragod, on October 4, 2025, following a period of treatment and counseling for her condition. Prior to her admission, she had been under medical care at the Government Medical Hospital, Calicut, where she was brought by Ms. Baby Saroja, a staff member who ensured her safety and well-being.
During her rehabilitation at Snehalaya, Rameeza received continuous psychiatric support and counseling, which helped her regain stability and confidence. As her mental health improved, she was able to recall and share her home address, which eventually led to tracing her family.
On October 23, 2025, Rameeza was successfully reunited with her grandmother, Mrs. Amir Jhan, hailing from Tinisukia, Pub Chatian, Juria, Nagaon District, Assam. Their emotional reunion marked the end of a year-long separation and a new beginning for Rameeza, who is now set to return home with renewed hope.
The successful reunion was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, its committed team, and the compassionate care extended by all those involved in her journey toward recovery and reconnection.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 23, 2025: ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಳಜಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮನಮಿಡಿಯುವ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಬಾರ್ಡರ್ಲೈನ್ ಪರ್ಸನಾಲಿಟಿ ಡಿಸಾರ್ಡರ್’ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ 21 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಮೀಜಾ ಖತುನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಆಮಿರ್ ಝಾನ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ರಮೀಜಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 2025ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 4ರಂದು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಅವರು ಕಲ್ಲಿಕೋಟೆಯ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಲಹೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಿಸ್ ಬೇಬಿ ಸರೋಜಾ ಎಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯೆ ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಮೀಜಾಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಪುನಃ ಗಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡ ನಂತರ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಹೇಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
2025ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 23ರಂದು, ಆಸ್ಸಾಂ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನಾಗಾಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ, ಜುರಿಯಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಟಿನಿಸುಕಿಯಾ ಪಬ್ ಚಾಟಿಯನ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಆಮಿರ್ ಝಾನ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಮೀಜಾ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ದೂರವಿದ್ದ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಿಲನದಿಂದ ಹೊಸ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಂದಿಯಾಯಿತು.
