Manjeshwar,Oct,20,2025 : Snehalaya Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Lakshmi Teacher & Kannappa Master Memorial Trust, celebrated Diwali with devotion, cultural splendour and togetherness at Snehalaya Auditorium on Sunday, 19th October 2025 from 5:00 PM onwards.
The programme was warmly hosted by Mrs. Lavita Dsouza, Campus Incharge, who welcomed the dignitaries, residents, staff, donors and guests to the celebration. The event began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by all distinguished guests symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. The Welcome Address was delivered by Mrs. Veena Dsouza, Deputy Administrator of Snehalaya.
The honoured guests present included:

• Mr. and Mrs. Lauriana Brian Rodricks – Donors and Well-wishers of Snehalaya
• Br. Joseph Crasta – Founder and Managing Trustee, Snehalaya
• Fr. Cyril D’Souza – Chaplain, Snehalaya
• Mrs. Olivia Crasta – Secretary & Trustee, Snehalaya
• Mrs Jayasheela-President-Lakshmi Teacher & Kannappa Master Memorial Trust.

Fr. Cyril D’Souza addressed the gathering with a meaningful Diwali message, reflecting on love, light and hope. He reminded everyone that true celebration lies not in the brightness of lamps, but in spreading kindness, peace and compassion to those around us.
This was followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring Mr. and Mrs. Lauriana Brian Rodricks for their continued support and generosity towards Snehalaya. The couple later expressed their gratitude and well-wishes during their address, sharing that they were happy and delighted to see the joy and enthusiasm of the residents and staff, and praised Br. Joseph Crasta for his inspiring leadership and dedicated service at Snehalaya.
Mrs. Jayasheela, President of Lakshmi Teacher & Kannappa Master Memorial Trust, also shared her greetings and encouragement. She expressed her deep appreciation for Snehalaya’s compassionate service towards the marginalized and emphasized the importance of celebrating festivals with those who need love and belonging the most.

Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder and Managing Trustee, spoke about Snehalaya’s mission, the spirit of Diwali, and thanked all supporters for their unwavering commitment. He emphasized that it is their collective dedication that enables Snehalaya to continue its journey of serving the less fortunate and bringing light into their lives.
The formal stage programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by PRO Mr. Rakesh Lobo, who expressed gratitude to all guests, organizers, donors, staff, residents and volunteers.

The formal programme was followed by a vibrant Cultural Programme organized by Lakshmi Teacher & Kannappa Master Memorial Trust, which added colour, energy, and charm to the celebration. The audience was enthralled by melodious songs from the Raagasangama Melodies Team, Mangaluru, followed by an elegant Bharatanatyam performance by Natya Nikethana, Kolya, captivating everyone with its grace, rhythm, and artistry. The celebration concluded joyfully with the bursting of firecrackers, lighting up the sky and symbolizing hope, happiness, and the triumph of light over darkness.

ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿನುಗಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕುಟುಂಬ

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 19, 2025: ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ (ರಿ.) ಮತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಟೀಚರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ (ರಿ.) ಅವರ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಭಕ್ತಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲಾತೀತ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಆಗಿತ್ತು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಲವಿಟಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು, ದಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೀಪ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಉಪನಿರ್ವಾಹಕಿ ವೀಣಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ನೀಡಿದರು.ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾರಿಯಾನಾ ಬ್ರಯಾನ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗ್ಸ್, ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಯಶೀಲಾ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಬೆಳಕು ಮತ್ತು ಭರವಸೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾನಿ ದಂಪತಿ ಲಾರಿಯಾನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಯಾನ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗ್ಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಸೇವಾಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಯಶೀಲಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು, “ಪ್ರತಿ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯೂ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭವಾಗಬೇಕು.” ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ದಾನಿಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಪಿಆರ್‌ಒ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಲೋಬೊ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಟೀಚರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಗಸಂಗಮ ಮೆಲೋಡೀಸ್ ತಂಡದ ಗಾಯನ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಳ್ಯದ ನಾಟ್ಯ ನಿಕೇತನಾ ತಂಡದ ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮನಗೆದ್ದಿತು. ಪಟಾಕಿ ಸಿಡಿತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ನಲಿವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿತು. ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಸಂತೋಷ, ಆಶೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಪನ್ನವಾಯಿತು.
