Manjeshwar, September 28, 2025: The Snehalaya team rescued a helpless man named Vasanth, who was wandering near Mangalore Central Railway Station. During the rescue, Vasanth displayed clear signs of severe psychiatric illness. His wandering behaviour, poor appetite, and lack of proper care and guidance suggested that he had been living under extremely difficult circumstances. Recognizing the urgency of his condition, the Snehalaya team immediately admitted him to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, where he is now receiving comprehensive medical treatment, psychiatric evaluation, counseling, and dedicated care.
The team is also making efforts to trace and reconnect Vasanth with his family while remaining fully committed to his recovery.

ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ವರ್ತನೆ, ತಿನ್ನುವ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಪೂರ್ಣ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೆಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವನ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ, ಸಮಗ್ರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದೆ. ವಸಂತ್ ಅವರ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಗೆ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ತಂಡವು, ಅವನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಮರುಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಲು ಸಹ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
