Manjeshwar, September 13, 2025: In a touching display of compassion and collaboration, Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar, along with Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, successfully reunited Mr. Upendra Vishwanath with his friends and neighbors in Amalner village, Jalgaon district, Maharashtra, after he had been missing for six months.

Mr. Upendra, who is unmarried, was not living with his mother, though she resides nearby and regularly sent him food through his friends. Despite his disappearance, no formal missing person complaint had been lodged by the family.

On June 3, 2025, Mr. Upendra was found at Mangalore Junction Railway Station in a vulnerable state. He was rescued by Bro. Joseph Crasta and the dedicated team and admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar for care and support.

During his stay at the rehabilitation center, Mr. Upendra received medical attention, counseling, and compassionate care, which gradually helped him regain stability. The Snehalaya team then worked tirelessly to trace his background and community connections.

Their efforts culminated on September 9, 2025, when Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, facilitated his reunion with his friends and neighbors in Amalner village. The event was met with warmth, respect, and positive response from the local community, who expressed deep gratitude to both organizations for their unwavering service.

This reunion not only highlights the dedication of Snehalaya Charitable Trust and Shraddha Foundation in restoring dignity and belonging to vulnerable individuals, but also serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of compassion and community care.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 13, 2025: ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೆಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ, ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಜಲ್ಗಾಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಮಲ್ನೇರ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಅವಿವಾಹಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಾಯಿ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತಾಯಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದಾಗ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

2025ರ ಜೂನ್ 3ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೊರೆತ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಲಹೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ವಿವರ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಫಲವಾಗಿ, 2025ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 9ರಂದು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಹಾಗೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರ ಬಳಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ಇಂತಹ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಎರಡೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
