Manjeshwar, September 10, 2025:  On 6 september a 75-year-old woman named Geetha was rescued by the Snehalaya Charitable Trust from Mangalore Central Railway Station on Tuesday. She has been admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women in Manjeshwar, where she is now receiving proper care and support.

During the rescue, Geetha was found in a distressed state, showing signs of neglect and poor personal hygiene. She was communicating mostly in Hindi. Based on initial observations, the Snehalaya team suspects she may be experiencing mental health issues. She was immediately provided with medical attention and counseling at the rehabilitation center.

The team at Snehalaya is now working to trace Geetha’s identity, family, and place of origin, with the aim of reuniting her with her loved ones.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 10, 2025 : 75 ವರ್ಷದ ಗೀತಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ಶನಿವಾರ 06, 2025 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೀತಾ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಂಗಾಲಾದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ದೇಹಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಹೀನಾಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ಆಧಾರಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಇರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ಶಂಕಿಸಿದೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ-ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
