Manjeshwar, August 7, 2025: In a heartwarming instance of compassion and perseverance, Snehalaya Charitable Trust, based in Kasaragod district, successfully reunited Mr. Vedram who had been missing for over nine years with his two sons in Shahwajpur village, Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Vedram, who was suffering from mental illness, had gone missing several times in the past. A formal missing person complaint had been filed by his family during this most recent disappearance. On February 17, 2025, with the assistance of Mr. Nikhil P.S. of the Malparamba Police Station, Mr. Vedram was rescued and brought to Snehalaya’s Mental Health Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar.
At the time of rescue, Mr. Vedram was disoriented and unable to provide clear information about his identity. However, through careful assessment, ongoing psychiatric treatment, counseling, and compassionate care by the Snehalaya team, he gradually began to recover. Over time, fragments of memory returned, including details about his family and native place.
Using the clues provided by Mr. Vedram, the rehabilitation team worked diligently to trace his original residence. Their efforts bore fruit when they located his family in Shahwajpur village. His son, Bhuvaneshwar, currently resides there in Bareilly district.
On July 10, 2025, an emotional reunion took place, marking the end of nearly a decade of separation. Family members, neighbors, and villagers gathered to express heartfelt gratitude to the Snehalaya team and Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, for their dedicated efforts. Mr. Vedram was warmly and respectfully welcomed back home.

This reunion stands not only as a testament to the relentless efforts of Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rihabilitation Centre Manjeshwar and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, but also as a beacon of hope for countless other families across the country who are awaiting the return of their loved ones. This journey from despair to dignity reminds us of the profound power of care, compassion, and unwavering commitment.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 7, 2025: ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೇದ್ರಾಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಬರೆಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶಹವಾಜ್ಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೇದ್ರಾಂ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಾರಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ನಾಪತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ದೂರು ಸಹ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. 2025ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 17ರಂದು ಮಲ್ಪರಂಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಶ್ರೀ ನಿಖಿಲ್ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಮೂಲಕ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರುತಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡದ ಕಾಳಜಿಯ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ನಿರಂತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಅವರು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಳೆಯ ನೆನಪುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಗಳು ಒಂದೊಂದಾಗಿ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬರಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದವು.

ಶ್ರೀ ವೇದ್ರಾಂ ನೀಡಿದ ಸುಳಿವುಗಳ ಆಧಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ತಂಡ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮೂಲ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು. ವೇದ್ರಾಂ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರ್ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಬರೆಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶಹವಾಜ್ಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

2025ರ ಜುಲೈ 10ರಂದು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಕ್ಷಣ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಂತೋಷದ ಈ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು, ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಅವರ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ವೇದ್ರಾಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.
