She has since been placed under the care of the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women, where she is receiving support and medical attention.
Upon her rescue, Asha appeared to be in poor physical condition with poor personal hygiene and was primarily communicating in Tulu and Kannada. Early assessments indicate that she may be experiencing psychiatric symptoms.
