Manjeshwar: In a touching moment of hope and healing, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar, Kasaragod, witnessed a joyful reunion on June 16, 2025, as Mr. Akash Parki was reunited with his family after a long period of separation.
Akash, found wandering and mentally distressed, was brought to Snehalaya on June 10 by social worker Mr. Vishu Shetty from Ajjarakad District Hospital, Udupi. He showed symptoms of self-harm, excessive talking, and emotional instability.
Thanks to the dedicated care he received at Snehalaya, Akash gradually regained clarity and shared details about his home. The team traced his family to Nagpur, Banbasa, Champawat District, Uttarakhand, and coordinated a successful reunion with his brother, Mr. Anshu Parki.
This heartwarming reunion is a testament to Snehalaya’s mission of restoring dignity and hope to lost lives.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ: ಭರವಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿ, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನಶ್ಚೇತನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ 2025 ಜೂನ್ 16ರಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಆಕಾಶ್ ಪರ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನಃ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಹರ್ಷಭರಿತ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಆಕಾಶ್ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, 2025 ಜೂನ್ 10ರಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಜ್ಜರಕಾಡ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಷು ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಕಾಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಯಿತು. ಭರ್ತಿಯಾಗುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು, ಅತಿಯಾದ ಮಾತು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೊರೆತ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲವಾಗಿ, ಆಕಾಶ್ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಗಳಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತರಾಖಂಡದ ಚಂಪಾವತ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಬಾನ್ಬಾಸಾ, ನಾಗಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಂಶು ಪರ್ಕಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನಃಸಂಗಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.
