Manjeshwar: In a deeply emotional moment, 25-year-old Ismail Khan was reunited with his father on June 1, 2025, in Surya Nagar, Islampura, near Noorani Masjid, Vikhroli, Maharashtra. Missing for four months, Ismail’s return has brought immense relief and joy to his struggling family.
Ismail had been battling severe mental illness for over 15 years. The grief of losing his mother during the COVID-19 pandemic and the family’s ongoing financial hardship had only deepened the cracks. He has a younger brother, and together they’ve faced years of quiet suffering.
On February 25, 2025, concerned citizens alerted authorities about a disoriented man wandering the streets. The Manjeshwar Police responded with empathy and urgency, rescuing Ismail and admitting him to Snehalaya Charitable Trust. There, he received two months of essential medication and counseling.
Later, Ismail was transferred to Shraddha Foundation, where efforts were made to locate his family and facilitate his recovery. With love, patience, and professional care, the Trust guided Ismail toward healing and home.
