Manjeshwar: On February 26, 2025, a 48-year-old woman named Gangamaa was rescued from the streets of Mangalore by Mr. Jovial Mathew, a trustee of Snehalaya, and the rehabilitation team. Gangamaa, disoriented and struggling with poor personal hygiene, was found speaking only Kannada and exhibiting signs of severe psychiatric distress.
She has been admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women, where she is receiving care. However, little is known about her past, family, or the circumstances that led her to the streets.
The Snehalaya team is now urgently seeking help to uncover Gangamaa’s identity and reconnect her with her loved ones. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to reuniting her with her family and aiding in her recovery.
