In an emotional reunion, Rekha, formerly known as Bitula, was reunited with her aunt in Uttar Pradesh after four long years of separation. The tireless efforts of Snehalaya and Shraddha foundations made this possible.

Rekha, originally from Uttar Pradesh, battled mental illness for 10–12 years. Her family misunderstood her condition, attributing it to black magic. This misunderstanding left her without proper care. As her mental health worsened, she lost the ability to care for her daughter, who tragically passed away.

In 2020, Rekha went missing, prompting a missing person’s report. The breakthrough came on September 18, 2024, when the Snehalaya team rescued her. After receiving initial treatment, she moved to the Shraddha rehabilitation center on October 21, 2024, to prepare for her family reunion.

On November 28, 2024, Rekha reunited with her aunt. Her family and the entire village felt immense relief and happiness during this long-awaited moment.
