A 55-year-old mentally ill destitute, who is deaf and dumb, was rescued by the Snehalaya Team from near the Manjeshwar Police Station.
The patient, whose identity is yet to be established, is currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center, Manjeshwara.
The authorities are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may help identify the patient or reunite him with his family.
