Manjeswar : After a year of pain and uncertainty, Ravi Kumar has finally returned to the loving arms of his family in Khonda, Bihar. This emotional reunion on October 9, 2024, brought tears of joy to the faces of his overjoyed parents, a moment that was made possible through the unwavering dedication of Snehalaya and the compassionate support of Shraddha Foundation.
Ravi, now 50, had once lived a quiet life with his family in Kolkata. But everything changed when mental illness took over, casting him into a spiral of confusion and despair. Struggling with his condition, Ravi found himself far from home, wandering the unfamiliar streets of Mangalore, lost in both body and spirit.
On June 26, 2024, a miracle happened. The compassionate team from Snehalaya, led by the founder Br. Joseph Crasta, found Ravi and brought him to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men. There, Ravi received not only medical care and counseling but also the kindness and dignity he had been missing for so long. Through months of tireless work, the team helped Ravi recover, offering him not just treatment, but hope.
For Ravi’s parents, who had nearly given up hope of ever seeing their son again, the reunion was nothing short of a dream come true. As they held him close, tears streamed down their faces—a reflection of the love, loss, and relief they felt in that moment. They expressed their deepest gratitude to the teams from Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation, whose selfless efforts had restored their family.

ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ದೀರ್ಘ ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ನಂತರ, 50 ವರ್ಷದ ರವಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಬಿಹಾರದ ಖೊಂಡಾದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಪರಿವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದರು. ಈ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಿಲನವು ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಅವಿಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ತಂಡಗಳ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಈ ಮಿಲನ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ಕೊಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರವಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೀಡಾದರು. ಗೊಂದಲ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
2024ರ ಜೂನ್ 26ರಂದು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ರವಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತರಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಳಜಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು ಹಾಗೂ ರವಿಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.
ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ನಂತರ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಪೋಷಕರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು. ಅವರ ಸಂತೋಷವು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆನಂದ ಭಾಷ್ಪಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗನ ಪುನಃಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ತಂಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಂದ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
