On August 1, 2024, Mrs. Olivia Crasta, Trustee cum Secretary of Snehalaya, along with Mr. Basavaraj, a staff member of the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation Mumbai, and the Snehalaya team, rescued a mentally ill person named Rajan Rovin Das (29) from Mangalore Central Railway Station. He was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men. During his treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved significantly. As part of his ongoing rehabilitation, he was transferred to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation Mumbai.
On September 5, 2024, Rajan was successfully reunited with his family in the Chachar district of Assam, after being separated from them for one year. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family. Rajan had been suffering from mental illness for the past eight years. His family expressed heartfelt gratitude to both Snehalaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centres for their selfless service and support in reuniting them with their loved one.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 01.08.2024 ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಾಜನ್ ರೋವಿನ್ ದಾಸ್(29) ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ರೀಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆ‍‌ಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 05.09.2024ರಂದು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಚಾಚಾರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ಕಳೆದ ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ .ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
