Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, along with Mr. Basavaraj, a staff member of the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai, and the Snehalaya team, rescued a mentally ill person named Mohammed Mujeeb, approximately 47 years old, from the streets of Beeri, Mangalore. He was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.Mujeeb was found wandering the streets, shabbily dressed. He communicates in Malayalam, claims to be from Malappuram, Kerala, and identifies his parents as Mohammed Unni and Nafeesa.
