On August 21, 2024, Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, along with Mr. Basavaraj, a staff member of the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai, and the Snehalaya team, rescued a mentally ill person named Arikish, approximately 35 years old, from the streets of Mangalore near Statebank. He was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.
