On June 17, 2024, a man named Suraj Rai, approximately 42 years old, was found wandering the streets of Kumbla. He was rescued by the Kumbla police and admitted to the Snehlaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.
During his treatment at Snehlaya, his condition improved significantly. As part of his further rehabilitation, he was transferred to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai.
On August 19, 2024, Suraj was successfully reunited with his family in the Samastipur district of Bihar after being separated from them for two months. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family. Suraj had come to Kerala for work, and while returning to his native place, he went missing. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to both the Snehlaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centres for their selfless service and support in reuniting them with their loved one.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 17/06/2024 ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸೂರಜ್ ರೈ ಎಂಬ 42 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಪೋಲಿಸರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ,ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ರೀಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆ‍‌ಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 19.08.2024ರಂದು ಬಿಹಾರದ ಸಮಸ್ತಿಪುರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ,ಕೇರಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಆತ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಕೇರಳದಿಂದ ಬಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
