On July 27, 2024, a homeless person named Charles D’Costa, who is suffering from mental illness and has no one to take care of him, was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men by the Hosabettu Parish Vice President, Mr. Manohar Cutinha, and his friends.
Charles was found wandering the streets of Hosabettu Moodabidri, shabbily dressed and exhibiting symptoms of aggressive behavior and poor self-hygiene. He communicates in Konkani and has mentioned that his parents are the late John and Elizabeth Noronha.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 27.07.2024ರಂದು ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರೆಯ ಹೊಸಬೆಟ್ಟು ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಚಾರ್ಲ್ಸ್ ಡಿ’ಕೋಸ್ಟಾ ಎಂಬ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕನನ್ನು ಹೊಸಬೆಟ್ಟು ಇಗರ್ಜಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೋಹರ್ ಕುಟಿಃನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರು, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
