On April 30, 2024, Mr. Jovial Crasta, the trustee of Snehalaya, rescued a person named Dil Lagan (20) who was wandering on the National Highway near Hosabettu Surathkal, as per the information provided by Mr. Kiran Karkala, a social worker and well-wisher of Snehalaya. Dil Lagan was admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for men. After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved, and he was transferred to Shraddha Mumbai for further reunification efforts.
On July 6, 2024, he was reunited with his family in the Samastipur district of Bihar. His family, overjoyed to see him after seven months of separation, received him warmly. According to the family, his real name is Dilkush, and he had been suffering from mental illness for the past two years. The family and villagers were very happy about the reunion and expressed their gratitude towards Snehalaya and Shraddha centres for their selfless efforts.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 30.04.2024 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಹಿತೈಷಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ಅವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಸಮೀಪದ ಹೊಸಬೆಟ್ಟು ಬಳಿಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ದಿಲ್ ಲಗಾನ್ ಎಂಬ 20 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 06.07.2024ರಂದು ಬಿಹಾರದ ಸಮಸ್ತಿಪುರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಏಳು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನ ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ದಿಲ್ಕುಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಹೇಳದೆ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
