On June 13, 2024, Shukkur, a 28-year-old mentally ill person found in meditating position on the streets of Pumpwell near Indiana hospital, was successfully rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. This compassionate effort was led by Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya. Shukkur was observed wandering the streets with poor self-care and shabby attire, displaying signs of mental health-related problems. He communicates in Hindi and claims to be from West Bengal. Currently, he is receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya. ದಿನಾಂಕ 13/06/24 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಂಪ್ವೆಲ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಇಂಡಿಯಾನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗ ಮುದ್ರಾ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 28ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಶುಕ್ಕೂರ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ,ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
