On February 21, 2024, a person named Nagaraj, who was suffering from mental illness and was under treatment at the Government Mental Hospital of Calicut, was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men under the Prathyasha project of the Kerala Government.
After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved. Thanks to the efforts of the staff at Snehalaya, his address was found, and his family was traced within a few days. On April 27, 2024, he was reunited with his family in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu. His mother received him and was happy to see him after 12 years of separation. Due to some family problems, he had developed mental illness and left home. The family was very happy for this reunion and expressed their gratitude towards Snehalaya for their selfless efforts.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.02.2024ರಂದು ಕೇರಳದ ಕ್ಯಾಲಿಕಟ್ ನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇರಳ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾಷ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 27.04.2024ರಂದು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಪುದುಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟೈನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ನಾಗರಾಜನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆತನ ತಾಯಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಕಾರಣ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಹೇಳದೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
