On October 19, 2023, a person named Laxman, who was wandering the streets of Baikampadi, was rescued and admitted to Snehalaya by Mrs. Olivia Crasta, the trustee and secretary of Snehalaya, for his better care and treatment. During the time of admission, he was suffering from mental illness and was shabbily dressed. After receiving necessary care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved, and for his further reunion process, he was sent to Shraddha.On March 21, 2024, he was successfully reunited with his family in Kanauj, Uttar Pradesh. The family was in tears upon seeing him after 14 years of separation, and they became emotional. The death of Laxman’s beloved wife had triggered his mental illness. The family thanked both Snehalaya and Shraddha centers for their selfless service in reuniting Laxman.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 19/10/2023ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ನೆತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಬೈಕಂಪಾಡಿಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಲಕ್ಶ್ಮಣ್ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 42ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಅಲ್ಪ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.03.2024ರಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಕನೌಜ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದ ದೀರ್ಘಾವದಿಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಸಾವಿನ ಶೋಕದಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಶ್ಮಣ್ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದನು.ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು
