In an emotional reunion, Aradhi Das, who was found wandering near the State Bank bus stand in Mangalore two years ago, has finally returned home to the loving arms of her mother and family. This heartwarming event marks the end of a long and challenging journey for Aradhi and a testament to the power of community and compassion.
Aradhi’s ordeal began when she was discovered in a disoriented state by the President of the Zilla Dalit Sangha, Mangalore. Recognizing her need for immediate care, she was promptly admitted to Pranja Swadar Graha,Mangalore; a facility known for its commitment to aiding those in distress. It was there that the staff identified her need for specialized treatment, leading to her transfer to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center in Manjeswaram.
Under the dedicated care of the professionals at Snehalaya, Aradhi experienced significant improvements in her mental health condition. The center’s unwavering support and tailored rehabilitation programs played a crucial role in her recovery journey, enabling her to regain her sense of self and prepare for a return to her family life.
The final leg of Aradhi’s journey home was facilitated by Shaddha Rehabilitation Foundation, a testament to the collaborative efforts of various organizations committed to her well-being. Their coordinated approach ensured that Aradhi received the comprehensive care and support she needed to reintegrate into society successfully.
The reunion with her mother and family was an emotional milestone, filled with tears of joy and relief. After two years of uncertainty and separation, the family’s bond emerged stronger, highlighting the importance of love, patience, and resilience in overcoming life’s most challenging obstacles.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 28.11.2023ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಸ್ವಾಧಾರ ಗ್ರಹದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು,ಆರದಿ ದಾಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಸಹೋದರಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಸ್ಸು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಸ್ವಾಧಾರ ಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡು ಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 23.02.2024ರಂದು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ನಾಗಾನ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆರತಿ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮರಳಿ ಬಂದ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿರಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕಳೆದ ಸುಮಾರು ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆರದಿ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯಿತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೃದಯಾಂತರಾಳದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
