At the time of admission, Chand Mani was suffering from a mental illness, and during her rescue, she was found wandering the streets with poor personal hygiene and shabbily dressed. Due to the care and treatment received at Snehalaya, and through counseling sessions, she shared information about her whereabouts. For the further reunion process, she was transferred to Shraddha in Mumbai.

On January 24, 2024, she was successfully reunited with her family in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, after a gap of one year. Chand Mani’s family, consisting of her husband and four children, expressed immense happiness at her return. It was revealed that due to a family dispute, she developed a mental illness. The family members were grateful for Snehalaya and Shraddha centers for their selfless service to mankind. Despite being from a poor family, Chand Mani had not been able to receive treatment, and her family extended their heartfelt thanks for the support provided by the organizations.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 26/09/2023 ರಂದು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ತುಮಿನಾಡು ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 35ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಚಾಂದ್ ಮಣಿ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.

ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಗಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದು, ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೊಳಕಾದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಳು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡು ಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೆ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಳು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 24/01/2024 ರಂದು ಜಾರ್ಖಂಡ್‌ನ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ಭೂಮ್ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಹಿಂಪಡೆದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಆನಂದಬಾಷ್ಪವಿತ್ತಿತು. ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಚಾಂದ್ ಮಣಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಾದ ಯಾವುದೊ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ಕಡು ಬಡವರಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಹೃದಯಂತರಾಳದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
