On January 12, 2024, a woman named Palani Velamma, approximately 55 years old, was rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre by Sarita Crasta, Trustee of Snehalaya, from the streets of Mangaladevi, Mangalore.
The individual is suffering from a mental illness and was found in poorly dressed condition. She communicates in the Tamil language and is currently receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya. Information regarding her whereabouts is still unknown.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 12.01.2024 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಂಗಳಾದೇವಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಪಲನೀ ವೇಲಮ್ಮ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 55ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದು ಕೊಳಕಾದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆ ತಮಿಳು ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
