On September 13, 2023, a destitute individual named Chaitali, approximately 50 years of age, was rescued from the streets of Montepadavu, Mangalore, by the Snehalaya team under the guidance of Brother Joseph Crasta and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center for Women.
The patient is currently suffering from a mental illness, and during the rescue operation, she displayed poor personal hygiene and exhibited wandering behavior. She also speaks Hindi unclearly, and her native place remains unknown.
She is now receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya. ದಿನಾಂಕ 13/09/2023 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸ್ಥಳಿಯರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮೊಂಟೆಪದವು ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 50 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಚೈತಾಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೆಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.
ರೋಗಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದು ಸ್ವಯಂ ನಗುವ ಹಾಗು ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯು ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾದ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನಿಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
