Radhika, a 46-year-old woman who had been suffering from mental illness for the past 28 years, was successfully reunited with her family in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal on July 8, 2023. This reunion was made possible through the efforts of Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre for Women and Shraddha Mumbai.
Radhika’s journey towards reunion began on April 1, 2023, when she was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre in Mangalore by the Prajna Counselling Centre team. At the time of her admission, Radhika was actively struggling with her mental health condition. However, with the dedicated support and care from the Snehalaya team, she began to show signs of improvement.
During her stay at Snehalaya, Radhika actively participated in various activities and counselling sessions. Gradually, she started to open up about her past and disclosed crucial information about her family and her whereabouts. This vital information became the catalyst for her reunion journey.
On July 8, 2023, after months of diligent work and coordination between Snehalaya and Shraddha Mumbai, Radhika was finally reunited with her family. Her sister-in-law, Radhe Dargee, was overwhelmed with emotions as she received Radhika in the Alipurduar district.
According to statements from Radhika’s family, her mental illness was attributed to family problems, and she had been missing from her home for a staggering 25 years. Her sudden return filled her family with immense joy and relief.
As part of her reunion plan, Radhika has been provided with a two-month supply of medicine and a comprehensive treatment plan. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards both Snehalaya and Shraddha centres for their selfless service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to reuniting families and helping individuals recover from mental health challenges.
This reunion serves as a heartwarming reminder of the power of compassion, care, and collaboration in reuniting families and helping individuals on their path to recovery from mental illness.
25 ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮರಳಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸೇರಿದ ರಾಧಿಕ
ದಿನಾಂಕ 01/04/2023 ರಂದು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ರಾಧಿಕ ಎಂಬ 46 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಸ್ವಾಧಾರ ಗೃಹದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೆಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಾಗು ವಿಶೇಷ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಫಲಶ್ರುತಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಹಾಗು ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನಾ ತರಗತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಳು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 08/07/2023 ರಂದು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ಅಲಿಪುರ್ದುವಾರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆಕೆಯ ನಾದಿನಿ ಆತಳನ್ನು ಆದರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದಳು. ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ರಾಧಿಕ ಕಳೆದ 28 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದು. ಸುಮಾರು 25 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಗಿದ್ದಳು.
25 ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮುಗಿಲುಮುಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ತಂಡವು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಔಷಧಿ ಹಾಗು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಸ್ವರ್ಥಾವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಹಾಗು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
