On 11/07/2023 a woman named Archana, approximately 28 years old, was found wandering aimlessly in the forests of Salageri near Kollur. Thanks to the alertness of rickshaw drivers, who witnessed her distressing situation, the local police and the public swiftly came to her aid. Mr. Vishu Shetty, a dedicated social worker, played a vital role in the rescue mission, along with the assistance of the police from the Kollur police station.

Upon rescue, Archana, who was reportedly suffering from a mental illness, was immediately admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women. The facility, founded by Bro Joseph Crasta, opened its doors to provide her with the necessary care and support she urgently required.

Archana claims to be from Cheruvakkal in Kerala state, and her information appears to be not clear. However, her exact identity remains unknown. In an effort to reunite her with her family, authorities are urging the public’s assistance. ದಿನಾಂಕ 11/07/2023 ರಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಕೇರಳ ಮೂಲದ ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಎಂಬ 28 ವರ್ಷದ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶು ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ, ರಿಕ್ಷಾ ಚಾಲಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಸಲಗೇರಿ ಬಳಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇವಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಿಕ್ಷಾ ಚಾಲಕರು ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಿಶು ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಯುವತಿಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇರಳ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಯುವತಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನೀಡಲು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದರು.
