A young boy named Chotu Kumar, aged approximately 24 was rescued after being found wandering on the streets of Trasi. The local police of Gangolli station, with the assistance of social worker Mr. H Ibrahim, swiftly intervened and ensured his safety. Chotu received immediate first aid treatment at a nearby hospital in Kundapur before being admitted to Snehalaya for further care and support.
Under the dedicated care and treatment provided at Snehalaya, Chotu experienced significant physical and mental improvement. Grateful for the compassionate assistance he received, Chotu shared valuable information about his family and whereabouts, leading to his transfer to Shraddha Mumbai for the next phase of the reunion process.
On the momentous day of June 28, 2023, Chotu was joyously reunited with his family in Begusarai, Bihar state. His mother and brother were overwhelmed with happiness upon seeing him. It was revealed that Chotu, a student in the 11th grade, had been residing in a hostel. Unfortunately, his association with a negative peer group led to his involvement in addiction-related issues. While he was already undergoing treatment, Chotu went missing from home a year ago, leaving his family deeply concerned.
However, the family’s worries were replaced with immense relief and joy upon witnessing Chotu’s improved and recovered condition. Expressing their heartfelt gratitude, the family extended their thanks to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center and Shraddha Centre for their selfless service and unwavering support throughout the challenging times.
This heartening reunion serves as a reminder of the power of compassion and collaboration in restoring hope and reuniting families in need.
ಮತ್ತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದಾದ ಚೋಟು
ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ತ್ರಾಸಿಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು ೨೪ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಚೋಟು ಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಂಬ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಪೋಲಿಸರು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಚ್. ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಮ್ ರವರ ಸಹಾಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಮಂಜೆಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ಹಾಗು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ತಿಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಹಾಗು ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 28/06/2023 ರಂದು ಆತನು ಬಿಹಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬೇಗುಸರಾಯಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗು ತಮ್ಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದಾದನು. ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ೧೧ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಚೋಟು ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯ, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಸಹವಾಸದಿಂದ ವ್ಯಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಹಾಗು ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯ, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಹೀಗೆ ಚೋಟುನನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಪಡೆದ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಟ್ಟರು ಹಾಗು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಹಾಗು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
