A destitute named ManikChand who was wandering on the streets of Kuloor, Mangalore was rescued and admitted to Snehalaya by our Trustee Mr. Pinto, and Mr. Kiran Kumar(Social worker). During the admission, he was suffering from mental illness and had psychiatric symptoms like self-talk, self-smiling, and excessive tobacco consumption.
After participating in all our activities and counseling sessions he started to recover from his mental illness and shared about his whereabouts. Then he was transferred to Shraddha Mumbai.
On 25/03/23 he was reunited with his family in Nalanda Bihar. His parents received him and they felt very happy after seeing him in this recovered condition. According to his family, his real name was Zagaru Saw Thathre, and he was divorced by his two wives. He was suffering from mental illness for 6 years and he was under treatment at a local hospital in Nalanda Bihar. He has two sisters and they are settled.
One month of medicine and a treatment plan was provided to the family. The family thanked both Snehalaya and Shraddha centers for their selfless service toward humanity
ಕುಳೂರಿನ ರಸ್ತೆಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಮಾಣಿಕ್ ಚಂದ್ ಎಂಬ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕನನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ ಅವರು ರಕ್ಶಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಲಕ್ಶಣಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದರು ಹಾಗು ತಂಬಾಕು ಸೇವನೆಯ ದುರಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಾಗು ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಹಾಗು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 25/03/23 ಮಾಣಿಕ್ ಚಂದ್ ಬಿಹಾರದ ನಲಂದಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದಾದರು. ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗು ತಂದೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಣಿಕ್ ಚಂದ್ ಸುಮಾರು 6 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಆಸುಪಾಸಿನ ಒಂದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದರಿಯರಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಸಂಸಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಣಿಕ್ ಚಂದಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪತ್ನಿಯರಿದ್ದು, ಇಬ್ಬರಿಂದಲು ವಿಚ್ಛೆದನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ತಂಡವು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮದ್ದು ಹಾಗು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಹಾಗು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
