A family from Pondicherry was living in Surthkal of Mangalore and earning their daily wages. In the year 2017, Kalyani went missing and family members searched for her and approached Surthkal Police Station to lodge a missing complaint. Unfortunately, the Police didn’t receive their complaint and the father also met with an accident the helpless Mother and Son went back to Pondicherry. The search for Kalyani and hope for her return was successful through Snehalaya Manjeshwar after 6 years of her missing.
After going missing in 2017, Kalyani was found by the Kankanady Police and taken to the Prajna Center. In order to receive treatment for her psychiatric problems, she was transferred from Prajna Counselling Center, where she had resided for more than five years, to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center in April 2023. Her participation in numerous therapeutic activities was mandated by the Snehalaya Team in addition to her medical care. After learning a little bit about her hometown, the crew got in touch with the locals there and in Pondicherry, and they were successful in finding her family. Helpless mother and son embraced their beloved Kalyani again because of their unwavering hope, faith, and eagerness. After receiving a call from Snehalaya, they set out for Kerala to travel to Snehalaya. The reunion of Kalyani with her cherished family was a wonderful and joyous moment for the Snehalaya family. Brother Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, was gratefully acknowledged by Kalyani and her family for directing his staff in bringing Kalyani back together.

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಂಡಿಚೇರಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವೊಂದು ದಿನಗೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು . 2017ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಆಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ದುರದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅವರ ದೂರನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ತಂದೆಯೂ ಅಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದಿದರು.ತದನಂತರ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗ ಪಾಂಡಿಚೇರಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿಯ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆ ಮರಳಿ ಬರುವ ಭರವಸೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅವರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವು ಆಕೆಯು ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿ 6 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಜವಾಯಿತು.
2017ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಕನಾಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಮತ್ತು 2023 ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡಳು. ಆಕೆಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ವಿವಿಧ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿತು. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವು ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ, ತಂಡವು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಂಡಿಚೇರಿಯ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು . ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗನ ಭರವಸೆ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ ಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯುವ ಕಾಯುವಿಕೆ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು . ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಕರೆ ಬಂದಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲು ಕೇರಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಇಂತಹ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
