A homeless man was rescued from Trasi Beach by Gangolli police on their daily patrol near the beach. Mr. H. Ibrahim, a social worker helped the patient get admitted to Kundapura’s Adarsha Hospital. Hence after the primary care and treatment at the Hospital, he was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center for the care and treatment of his psychiatric issues.

He identifies himself as Chotu Kumar from Bihar state.

ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತ್ರಾಸಿ ಬೀಚ್ ಬಳಿ ಗಸ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅಂಬ್ಯುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಹಾಗು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ  ಶ್ರೀ. ಎಚ್.ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಇವರ ಸಹಾಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಆದರ್ಶ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ,ಆತನ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ರೋಗಿಯು ತನ್ನನ್ನು   ಬಿಹಾರದ ಚೋಟು ಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
