On 27.05.2022 a destitute named Sugan aged 52 was brought to Snehalaya from the streets of Hosangadi by the Snehalaya team. At the time of admission, she had psychiatric symptoms like self-talk, decreased hygiene, wondering behavior, aggressive nature, and irrelevant talk. After participating our all sections like therapeutic activities and counseling sections she recovered her mental health and is capable to recollect her past. So, sent Sugan to Shradha Rehabilitation Foundation for her further reunion process.
On 01/10/2022 Sugan was reunited with her family at Ujjaini. According to her family, she was suffering from mental illness for 36 years. she had left home last 10 years back. she has three children and her husband is no more.
Sugan’s family was overjoyed to see her and broke down in tears to see her after all these years in better physical and mental condition. we have prescribed medications to assist her to keep getting better.
At the time of the reunion, her family members took the responsibility to protect sugan. Also, the family felt happy and showed gratitude towards both centers.
