A homeless man is cared for and sheltered at Snehalaya

A Destitute named Balvinder Singh aged approximately 63 years was rescued by Mr. Nithyananda Volakadu (Social Worker) on 20.01.2023 who was found wandering on the streets of Udupi near Chithraranjan Circle. As the Social worker found psychiatric issues in him, he informed Senior Citizen Helpline and was admitted to A.V Baliga Hospital Udupi. As the patient’s condition improved a little on 01.02.2022  Mr. Roshan Senior Citizen Counsellor and team brought him to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeswar, and admitted him for further rehabilitation and treatment.

The patient shows psychiatric symptoms and his provisional diagnosis is mania with psychiatric symptoms as per the Psychiatric History and Evaluation. Anyone who can identify him and can help him to reach back to his family, kindly contact us on any of the following nos. 9446547033 / 7994087033
