Ajith, aged 27 years, was brought to Snehalaya by the public on September 16, 2022, from Uppala, Kasaragod. He was found wandering on the streets of Uppala. He was admitted with psychiatric symptoms and was diagnosed with Psychosis Nos. A dead poisonous snake was found in his pocket by our crew while cleaning. When he arrived at Snehalaya, he showed extremely violent behaviour. Although he was not at all cooperative during treatment, the team managed to give him the appropriate attention and support.
In addition to the medication, he was urged to take part in our various therapeutic activities and counselling sessions. As a result, his condition improved and he started speaking. Based on the information provided to him, our social worker was able to determine that he is from Firozabad, Utterpredesh. Over the phone, the social worker spoke with His brother. On September 28, 2022, his mother and brothers made their way to Snehalaya, and there was another joyful reunification. and the family’s overwhelming joy upon knowing that Ajith was still alive. He had been missing from his house since last 18 months. After completing his 10th Standard, he acquired knowledge of farming and tractor driving. He was experiencing some mental illness in the interim, and he then fled from his home. They had lost all hopes to see him again. The family has spent lacks of money in search of him. They were really delighted and happy to see Ajith again. On the same day, they discharged him and took him back to their house. The family members were really appreciated Snehalaya for taking care of him for so long.
The Psychiatric Social workers will continually do a follow up and direct them for further Medication.
