After 15 years Krishna Sharma re-joined his family at Bihar.

Krishna  Sharma aged 62 was admitted to Snehalaya Manjeshwar on 19/01/22 for care and treatment by a well-wisher Mr J V D’ Mello from Mangalore. He was found in an unhygienic condition and was looked like having psychological issues. After his admission at Snehalaya along with the medication he was encouraged to participate in different activities including the therapeutic sessions. He improved in his condition and started to response and react. During one of the counselling sessions, he shared few details about his family and his native. Our social workers came to know that he hails from Manikpur, Bihar.

      They contacted the local Police, Panchayat and leaders and traced his family. After collecting the contact details team Snehalaya had the telephonic conversation with his brother Babulal Kumar and started their journey to Manikpur of Bihar to reunite Krishna with his family.

       11/02/22 was the most joyful day in Krishna’s life as he was happily welcomed by his brother and his family members. His brother shared that Krishna went missing 15 years ago as he has developed mental health issues because of a bad incident in his personal life.

     The family was very happy to see him back after 15 years and they were highly indebted towards Snehalaya Manjeshwar for the kind gesture. They offered their gratitude and payers for the selfless service provided to Krishna from the day of rescue from the street till the day of reunion with his family. After 15 years of missing Krishna Sharma was successfully reunited with his family at Bihar through Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, under Prathysha Project.
