Under Pratyasha Project Jibin aged 52 was brought to Snehalaya Manjeshwar from Teresa Bhavan Charitable Trust, Kannur for reunion process on 17/03/22. After his admission at Snehalaya along with the medication he was encouraged to participate in different therapeutic activities. As a part of this during the counselling session he shared a few information about his family and of his native. Our social workers came to know that he hails from Assam. And they contacted the local administration, Police and Panchayat and traced his family. After collecting the contact details team Snehalaya had the telephonic conversation with his brother and started their journey to Nalbari, Assam for reunion on 10/04/22.
A joyful day came in Jibin’s life as he was happily welcomed at home by his brother Mr. Nithya Das. His brother shared that Dipun went missing 18 years ago. He had mental issues since 24 years and was under treatment. He belongs to a middle class family and lost his parents long back. He has three brothers and five sisters. His actual name is Dipun.
The family was very happy to see him back after 18 years and they were highly indebted towards Snehalaya Manjeshwar and Kripa Bhavan Charitable Trust, Kannur for their kind gesture. They offered their gratitude and payers for the selfless service provided Dipun from the street till reunion with his family.
