Thathaiyamma was rescued from the streets of Bajpe, Mangalore by team Snehalaya. She was brought to the centre and admitted on 21/12/2020. She was in a pathetic state, suffering from psychiatric problems and was violent & aggressive. But her physical and mental health started to improve due to her continuous participation in various therapeutic activities. In later stage, during the counselling session, she revealed her personal details. With the little information shared by her she was sent to Shraddha Rehabilitation Centre Mumbai.
The team members went to five villages to trace her family and finally one lady shared her family details. According to her Thathaiyamma’s family was at Uthirapathi Street of Nagapattanam, Tamilnadu. So finally, team members reached her house and after twelve long years Thathaiyamma was joyfully reunited with her mother and sister on 14/01/2022.
The family told the counsellor that she had been suffering from mental illness and when the village was flooded because of cyclone she went far away from the village and eventually went missing. They made efforts to search for her but it was of no use.
They were very happy to see Thathaiyamma. Kathaji is her real name. They were very grateful towards both Snehalaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centre for all their efforts to reunite Kathaji with them.
ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ದಿನಾಂಕ 21/12/2020 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಜ್ಪೆಯ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮರವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ಆಕೆಯು ದಯನೀಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಿಂಸಾತ್ಮಕ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ
ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಹಲವಾರು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯೂ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಕೆಯ ದೈಹಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವು ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿತು. ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ನೀಡಿದ ಅಲ್ಪ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ತದನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಐದು ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮನ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ನಾಗಪಟ್ಟಣಂನ ಉತಿರಪತಿ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 14/01/2022 ರಂದು ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದರು.
ಆಕೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚಂಡಮಾರುತದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮವು ಜಲಾವೃತಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಗ್ರಾಮದಿಂದ ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗದೆ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೀಗ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿದ ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ತಾತಯ್ಯಮ್ಮನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಹೆಸರು ಕಥಾಜಿ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಕಥಾಜಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು .
