Benar Singh Manhan finds his home after ONE year

Benar Singh Manhan who was rescued from Beeri, Near Mangalore had started his life at Snehalaya on 15-11-2020. When Snehalaya team found him in pathetic condition, who had spent several days on roads, needed urgent rescue, care and treatment. Therefore, he was brought to Snehalaya for treatment and rehabilitation. After timely medical treatment to Benar Singh Manhan, his activities took a gradual turn and participated in various activities like Yoga, exercises, games etc. He was able to recall his past and shared his family details.

He is from Balamger District of Odissa. Snehalaya with the help of Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation, Mumbai, sent him to Mumbai for further process of rehabilitation and reunion. A home survey was conducted and his house was found. His uncle who was overjoyed to accept him said, “I am seeing him after 1 year. There was no hope that I would ever meet him”. His uncle expressed his gratitude for finding and bringing him back home.

Benar Singh Manhan’s original name is Anirudha Manhanda, was mentally ill for the past 15 years. Treatment was not given to him by the family. His parents had expired long back. He is single and has no sibling.  His uncle was looking after him. But unfortunately, one fine day he disappeared. His uncle searched everywhere.  But all his efforts were in vain. Now as his family branch has found its root, he is very happy and his uncle too.
