Manjeswaram, August 15, 2024: Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The program was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Mr. Jephry Rodrigues the Formar Military Servant, Guest of Honour Fr. Cyril D’Souza, Chaplain of Snehalaya.
The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest, followed by the rendition of the national anthem. The Founder and Managing Trustee, Bro. Joseph Crasta, Addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of independence and the importance of striving for a better future.
Mr. Jephry Rodrigues, in his address, highlighted the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and encouraged the residents and staff of Snehalaya to work towards creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.
The program featured a series of cultural events, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits, performed by the residents, St. Aloysius College Students and staff of Snehalaya. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets and a sense of national pride among all present.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ 78ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆಫ್ರಿ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು, ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿ ಸೋಜರವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹಾಜರಾತಿಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಳೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆಫ್ರಿ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಜವಾದ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ತದನಂತರ, ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು “ದೇಶ ಹಿತ, ಜನಸೇವೆಯೇ ಜನಾರ್ಧನ ಸೇವೆ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವಿಟಾ ಡಿ ಸೋಜ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಲಿಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.” ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು.
