On June 16, 2024, the halls of Snehalaya were filled with laughter, music, and applause as residents gathered to celebrate Talents Day. The event was a vibrant display of creativity, showcasing the many talents within the community. In this warm and inclusive atmosphere, each resident became a star, shining brightly with their unique gifts.
The day featured a variety of performances, including cultural and Western dances that captivated the audience. Each dance told a story, reflecting the diverse culture of Snehalaya. Residents, who usually go unnoticed, took center stage and made the ordinary extraordinary.
One resident served as the Master of Ceremonies, gracefully guiding the event with poise and charm. This role highlighted the confidence and skills developed within Snehalaya’s supportive environment.
Brother Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, attended and added special significance to the celebration. He was joined by Mrs. Olivia Crasta, trustee cum secretary of Snehalaya, Rev. Fr. Cyril Dsouza, the chaplain of Snehalaya, Mr Jovial crasta and Sarita Crasta the trustees of Snehlaya and The dedicated staff of Snehalaya, showing their support and adding to the family-like bond.
The event ended with a delicious supper, reflecting the richness of the day’s activities. Conversations flowed easily, and there was a sense of joy and satisfaction, just like the music that had filled the space earlier.
Talents Day at Snehalaya was more than just an event; it was a celebration of identity and achievement. ದಿನಾಂಕ 16.06.2024ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳ ದಿನವನ್ನು (ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಡೇ)ಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಶಾರೀರಿಕ, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುವ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಾವು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರಂತೆ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದೇ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿವಿಧ ಶೈಲಿಯ ನೃತ್ಯಗಳು, ಸಂಗೀತ ರಸಮಂಜರಿ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂದವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ,ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಮಂದಿರದ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅಂತೆಯೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿತನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಬರಲೆಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು ಅಂತೆಯೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಸಹಭೋಜನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.
